Explore DJI’s latest innovation: the FlyCart 30 cargo drone. Unveiling the future of UAV logistics and unmanned cargo delivery.

On August 16th, DJI officially launched its first civilian cargo drone, DJI FlyCart 30. This drone combines heavy payload, long flight range, strong signal, and high intelligence, making it suitable for mountainous, coastal, rural transportation scenarios, and various emergency situations requiring material transport. The FC30 features a 4-axis 8-propeller multi-rotor design. In dual battery mode, it can carry a maximum of 30kg with a full-load range of 16 kilometers. The entire machine has an IP55 protection level, capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 45°C, and can fly at altitudes up to 6000 meters. This ensures its adaptability in all-weather conditions, across different temperature ranges, and varying altitudes.

The drone offers two payload modes: a cargo box and an aerial hook. The cargo box supports quick assembly and automatic weighing, while the aerial hook features intelligent stabilization and emergency fuse functions, providing users with flexible, stable, and reliable options. It also boasts a new dual battery system, a 20km O3 image transmission, multi-directional intelligent obstacle avoidance, smart multiple backup landing points, support for dual control, and a standard parachute, ensuring maximum safety during operations.

DJI states that the FC30 breaks spatial limitations with its heavy payload and long flight range. The equipment uses a 4-axis 8-propeller multi-rotor design and a new dual battery system. In dual battery mode, it can carry up to 30kg, and in single battery mode, it can carry up to 40kg. It covers a maximum range of 28 kilometers, and in dual battery full-load conditions, it can fly up to 16 kilometers. The entire series comes standard with carbon fiber propellers, with a maximum flight speed of 20 meters per second.

Considering the complex factors of varying weather and terrain in mountainous, coastal, and rural transportation scenarios, the FC30 is designed with strong protection to support all-weather, wide temperature range, and cross-altitude operations. The machine has an IP55 protection level, making it water and dust-resistant. It can operate in temperatures from -20°C to 45°C, supporting flights in both high and low-temperature environments. It can withstand wind speeds up to 12 meters per second and fly at altitudes up to 6000 meters, catering to transportation needs in different altitude areas.

The FC30 is equipped with DJI’s O3 image transmission, which can transmit images up to 20 kilometers, meeting the needs of beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) long-range transportation. In case of signal interference, the FC30 can use DJI’s enhanced image transmission module to connect to the network and achieve 4G enhanced image transmission. This ensures a stable and clear image in various operating environments, effectively handling signal blockage in complex environments, making flights safer.

Furthermore, the FC30 supports dual control, allowing two pilots in different locations to switch control of the drone with a single button, collaborating effectively. This solves problems like signal blockage and insufficient cargo delivery accuracy during long-distance transportation, further improving operational coverage and accuracy.

The FC30 features intelligent safety protection measures throughout the entire flight process, ensuring the safety of people, the machine, and goods. Before takeoff, the system can assess the feasibility based on task requirements, equipment, and flight environment conditions, helping users choose the appropriate flight route. During flight, through the active phased array radar and binocular vision system installed on the drone, the FC30 can achieve multi-directional, all-weather, all-time intelligent obstacle avoidance.

The drone comes with a built-in parachute, which has features like boot self-check, independent power supply, power-off before parachute deployment, audio and visual alarms, and multiple triggering methods. This ensures low-altitude parachute deployment and stable landing, reducing the risk of personal and property damage in extreme situations.

Additionally, the FC30 uses a dual battery system for power, combined with multiple redundant designs, ensuring flight safety in harsh operating environments to the maximum extent. The FC30 features a foldable storage design, reducing equipment size and meeting the transportation needs of ordinary vehicles, enhancing the convenience of equipment deployment, use, and maintenance.

In cargo box payload mode, it comes standard with a universal size EPP cargo box with a maximum volume of 70 liters. It supports quick assembly and disassembly within 3 minutes, making loading and unloading convenient. The cargo box supports weight and center of gravity detection, ensuring correct cargo loading and stable flight.

When the transportation location is not conducive to equipment takeoff and landing, an aerial hook system can be used for cargo transportation. The aerial hook system has a cable descent mode, supporting both automatic and manual control methods. It can handle a maximum weight of 40kg, a maximum release length of 20 meters, and a maximum retraction speed of 0.8 meters per second. The FC30’s unique intelligent stabilization feature can autonomously adjust flight posture, effectively eliminating cargo swing, ensuring cargo stability to the maximum extent.
