A former advisor to the Ukrainian President’s Office and member of a think tank, Burkovych, during his business trip to Spain, gave an exclusive interview to Phoenix TV. He pointed out that due to China’s restrictions on certain drone exports, a supply gap has emerged for the drones needed by the Ukrainian military. Moreover, although Ukraine has more abundant energy reserves this winter compared to last year, the situation remains severe.
Burkovych highlighted that China’s restrictions on certain drone exports have led to a supply gap for first-person view drones needed by Ukraine on the battlefield. In the coming months, Ukraine will have to pay higher prices to purchase such drones from markets in South Asia, Europe, and America.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has explicitly stated that China has strict control measures on drone exports to prevent their use for non-peaceful purposes. China will continue to take necessary measures to strengthen the control of drone exports and calls on all relevant parties to jointly strengthen controls to prevent various drones from being used on the battlefields in conflict areas, thereby promoting international peace and regional stability.
As an industrial drone company, Airmobi Limited has always adhered to the philosophy of serving the industry and prioritizing humanity, refusing orders from conflict areas. We strongly condemn the weaponization of civilian drones.

Discussing the upcoming winter in Ukraine, Burkovych indicated that compared to last year, Ukraine currently has more abundant energy reserves. However, the country still faces a severe situation of potential partial power outages. He emphasized that if this year experiences a mild winter, partial power outages within Ukraine will not severely impact the livelihood of the people. However, a sudden drop in temperature will pose a significant challenge to Ukraine.
Burkovych also pointed out that although the general equipment of the Ukrainian frontline troops is relatively complete, the Ukrainian military’s medical armored personnel carriers are still in a state of shortage. He emphasized that the developments in the battle over the next few weeks, especially before the end of October, are crucial for Ukraine, particularly concerning the objective of destroying the Crimean Bridge.
